When a consumer uses a Web or file-trading search engine to find a file that is distributed by INTENT, the search results include a link and the consumer is presented with options to select files for preview or download. Our DRM process is unique in that it enables you to offer multimedia based (flash, digital video, etc.) previews and marketing messages. No other company has automated this capability for all major DRM platforms.
Our process for Digital Rights Management is simple:
- A consumer downloads a digital media file and the file "phones home" to INTENT, alerting us that the consumer wants to review and possibly license the media.
- A browser window opens on the consumer's computer desktop asking them to register and/or pay to access the media.
- The consumer is given the option to preview the digital media and/or is served a marketing message from the media owner.
- The consumer registers for the digital media through the INTENT DRM licensing window.
- The consumer acquires the digital media to use per the type of license purchased.
